Variety of Training, One Complete System

Each week combines general conditioning, shorter flexibility work, and a dedicated long stretching session to develop the body as a whole - strength, mobility, flexibility, coordination, balance, and body control. As the Training Path progresses, the drills, combinations, and overall structure gradually become more advanced and more demanding.

Guided Training - Not Just Follow-Along

Instead of simply following along and repeating movements without fully understanding them, you’ll learn how each drill should be performed and what to focus on - with enough detail to improve your execution, but without interrupting the flow of the workout.

A Broad and Evolving Drill Library

The Training Path uses a wide range of drills to challenge strength, mobility, flexibility, coordination, balance, body control, and conditioning. As you progress, drills are modified, advanced, and combined to keep creating new demands and improving overall body functionality.

Dedicated Community & Feedback

Get access to a dedicated Community Hub where you can leave feedback, share training videos, ask questions, and help influence how future drills and sessions evolve. I review the community personally and respond whenever possible.

Extra Drill Explanations When You Need Them

As questions come up during training, additional explainer videos will be added to clarify specific drills, positions, techniques, and common points of confusion. These explanations are shaped by participant feedback, so the course can keep addressing the details that matter most in practice.

New Sessions Unlock Weekly

The Training Path follows a scheduled progression, with the next session unlocking each week so you can build gradually rather than rush ahead. Each new session develops from what came before, with drills progressing, changing, combining, or being replaced over time. This is not a fixed course with a final week - the Training Path is designed to keep evolving over months and years.

Not AI Coaching

This is not an AI-generated or automated training system. I personally design, record, edit, and regularly update the Training Path, including uploading new sessions for the upcoming weeks and months as the program develops. The drills, progressions, modifications, and combinations are based on my own coaching experience, training background, and knowledge. I also personally review and respond to questions and feedback requests in the Community Hub whenever possible. I’m happy to share this system with you and continue developing it as we progress.

Start the path. See how it feels. Stay for as long as it works for you.

The Get Gymnast Fit Training Path is a structured, progressive gymnastics-based training system designed to remove the guesswork from your workouts. You can start at your own pace, explore the system, and cancel anytime if it is not the right fit for you. We begin with a beginner-friendly foundation and gradually build toward more complex training. Some drills stay, others are modified, progressed, combined, or removed as they serve their purpose. Each week is built around a General Training Session and a standalone Long Stretching Session. The General Training Session follows a consistent structure: a proper warm-up, body awareness drills, general stretching, core, spine, shoulders, hips, general drills, skill-specific drills, skills, stamina, and a proper cool down. The structure stays familiar while the drills evolve from week to week. The Long Stretching Session develops flexibility through a separate, more focused session that progresses more slowly over time. Every fifth week is a deload week, when the regular training and long stretching are paused and replaced with light cardio, mobility, and body awareness work to allow for recovery. The sessions are guided rather than simply follow-along, with coaching cues and technical explanations built into the training so you understand not only what to do, but how to do it. Each week develops strength, mobility, flexibility, coordination, balance, body control, conditioning, and the physical preparation needed for gymnastics skills. The Training Path continues to evolve over time, with new sessions, progressions, and additional drill explanations added as the system develops. Follow the plan, pay attention to the details, train consistently, and let the path build from there.

Meet Your Trainer

Hey friends, I’m Maxim, a former Russian gymnast, gymnastics coach, and the creator of Get Gymnast Fit. With 20 years of international coaching experience, I help adults improve flexibility, mobility, strength, and body control through structured gymnastics-based training. My goal is to help you better understand your body, move with more control, build a strong physical foundation, and gradually progress toward more advanced gymnastics skills in a safe and systematic way.

How the Training Path Fits With My Other Courses

The Training Path is designed to be your main ongoing training structure. It is broader, less theory-heavy, and more focused on general physical development, movement practice, and regular training volume. My other courses and books go deeper into specific topics. If, while following the Training Path, you feel that you need more focused work on spinal mobility, shoulder mobility, hip flexibility, or a particular movement pattern, you can take the course dedicated specifically to that area. If you want a deeper understanding of core mechanics and more core-focused training, you can add the Hollow Body Course. The same applies to my books. If you want to understand a specific topic in more detail, such as spinal alignment, hip mobility, or handstand training, those resources can be used alongside the Training Path. You do not need to complete all of my other products before starting the Training Path. Think of the Training Path as the main road. The other courses and books are opportunities to take a deeper dive into a specific area whenever you feel that it would benefit your training.

This system will not make you stronger, more flexible, more mobile, or more skilled.

You are the person who has to create those changes through your own effort. This system can only help you do that. If you do not train consistently and put real effort into the work, no training system will help you.

These workouts are not designed to give you six-pack abs.

They are not designed around defined shoulders, larger muscles, or any particular physique. The goal is functionality.  Because it is what your body can do defines how your body looks. Not the other way around.

This is not a 20–30 minute daily workout.

A General Training Session may take anywhere from 1 hour 15 minutes to 2.5 hours depending on your pace, your rest periods, and how much work you can handle. The drills are simple in structure, but they are not easy. You are expected to pay attention and work quietly and efficiently.

Beginner does not mean easy.

These sessions start at a beginner level, but the drills are not meant to feel effortless. There is little value in training only what you can already do comfortably. The goal is to expand what your body can do, so the exercises will challenge your current strength, flexibility, mobility, coordination, and control.

This training does not develop discipline.

As an adult, you are expected to bring your own discipline to the training. You are expected to make time for the sessions, repeat them regularly, follow the instructions, and ask questions when needed. If you do not bring discipline and consistency to the process, there will be no progress.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is the Training Path suitable for complete beginners? Yes. The Training Path starts from a relatively beginner-friendly foundation and progresses gradually over time.  I have lower-back, shoulder, knee, or other joint problems. Can I still join? The Training Path is not intended to diagnose, treat, or rehabilitate injuries or medical conditions. If you have an existing injury, persistent pain, recent surgery, or a medical condition that may affect exercise, please speak with your physician or another qualified healthcare professional before starting. Is this a subscription?  Yes. The Get Gymnast Fit Training Path is an ongoing monthly subscription. New training continues to be added as the Path develops. You can cancel your subscription at any time. If I unsubscribe and resubscribe later, will I lose my progress? No. Your completed progress will remain saved. If you cancel your subscription, you will lose access to the Training Path while your subscription is inactive. If you resubscribe later using the same account, your previous progress will still be there and you can continue from where you left off. Is there a free trial? No. There is no trial period. If you would like to see my teaching style and the type of exercises I use before joining, please visit my YouTube channel. You will find many free tutorials and follow-along sessions there, and the general training style will be similar. How often should I train? For most people, I recommend completing the General Training Session 1–2 times per week, with 2 sessions being ideal. A third session can be added if recovery is good. The Long Stretching Session is generally recommended once per week. Every fifth week is a deload week focused on cardio and recovery. Do I have to move to a new week every seven days? No. “Week” represents a stage in the progression, not a deadline. If the current week is still sufficiently challenging, you can repeat it for another week, or several weeks, before progressing. What if an exercise is too difficult or too easy for me? You can modify the exercise when necessary. Reduce sets, repetitions, hold times, or use an easier variation if the prescribed version is currently too demanding. If an exercise is clearly too easy and you already control a harder variation, you may progress it. Quality and control are more important than simply completing the written numbers. Do I need a fully equipped gym? No. A large portion of the program can be completed with little or no specialized equipment. Some gymnastics and conditioning drills do require basic equipment such as a pull-up bar, parallettes, rings, resistance bands, light weights, or an exercise ball. In many cases, simple household substitutes can be used. If you cannot perform a particular drill because you do not have the equipment, you can simply skip it and continue. Can I combine the Training Path with my current workouts or sport? Yes, but you need to consider your total weekly workload and recovery. The Training Path can be combined with strength training, running, climbing, martial arts, or other sports, but you may need to reduce the volume or frequency of one or more activities. Will I receive personal feedback? The Training Path includes access to the Community Hub, where you can ask questions and post videos for feedback. I personally review and respond to questions and feedback requests whenever possible. However, this is not one-on-one personal training, and individual video reviews are not guaranteed on demand. What is the Explainers section? The Explainers section contains additional short videos addressing drills and concepts that generate recurring questions from students. It develops gradually based on feedback from the community. If you have a question about a drill, I recommend checking the Explainers section first before posting in the Community Hub. Is the Training Path focused on gymnastics skills only? No. Gymnastics skills are part of the long-term direction, but the Training Path also develops the physical qualities required to perform them: strength, mobility, flexibility, body awareness, coordination, conditioning, support strength, compression, straight-arm strength, and general movement control. How long does the Training Path last? There is no fixed end date. It is designed as an ongoing training system. The programming continues to develop, with drills being progressed, modified, combined, replaced, and reorganized as the Training Path evolves.
